12/05/2026 Update
This update includes the latest statements from the most common airlines we use to our destinations:
Jet2 - A spokesperson for Jet2 said: "We remain in continual dialogue with our fuel suppliers, as is standard practice. Based on the conversations we have been having, we see no reason not to look forward to operating our scheduled programme of flights and holidays as normal."
Easyjet - EasyJet confirmed it plans to operate "a full schedule across its network". Garry Wilson, chief executive of easyJet Holidays, said: "Our operations remain unaffected, so customers can be confident that not only will their holiday go ahead as planned, but there will be no surprise extra payments".
Ryanair - Ryanair chief executive Michael O'Leary stated that "the risk of a supply disruption is receding", with no disruption risk before the end of June.
British Airways - Chief executive Luis Gallego told investors "We are actively managing the uncertainty created by the fuel price increase and its impact, taking the necessary action on yields, costs and capacity. We currently see no issues with fuel availability in our main markets, particularly as we benefit from our investment in fuel self-supply at our hubs".
28/04/2026 Update
There is a lot in the news right now about jet fuel prices, the availability of jet fuel and what this may mean for holidays, following the issues in the Middle East.
There’s no need for travellers to be concerned about their upcoming holidays; flights are continuing to operate as normal, and people are still travelling as planned. We’re not aware of any UK flights being cancelled due to jet fuel shortages. UK airlines have confirmed they are not currently experiencing disruption to fuel supply, as the UK sources jet fuel from a wide range of locations. This includes refining its own jet fuel from four refineries around the UK. Croatia also produces its own jet fuel at its Rijeka refinery which supplies all seven airports.
While some European airlines have reduced a limited number of flights to certain destinations to manage fuel costs; typically where there are multiple services on the same route each day; this represents only a small fraction of overall daily departures. Note that none of our destinations have been affected by this.
In the unlikely event that your flight is cancelled, we will endevour to find you an alternative flight to your destination. If we have to cancel your holiday, because we are unable to get you to your destination, as the holiday is ATOL protected, you are entitled to a full refund of the cost of the holiday package.
