Arrive at Zagreb Airport, where a private transfer will meet you in arrivals and take you directly to your chosen Zagreb Hotel. Alternatively if you've opted for a hire car, collect it then make your way to the hotel. Once you've settled in at the hotel, head out to the centre and get a feel for this fantastic city.
The city centre is divided into two halves, The thousand-year old upper town (Gornji grad) is chock-full of red tile roofs and cobbled streets lit by gas lamps, conjuring up a millennium of secret lives. This charming area contains the Presidential Palace, the historic church of St. Mark's (pictured), the Croatian parliament, the historic Kaptol Square and the famous Dolac Market. The lower town (Donji grad) is a nineteenth century development where most of the city's museums and art galleries are interspersed with parks and cafes.
Chose your departure time and head to the Plitvice Lakes National Park. Plitvice Lakes is the oldest and largest National Park in Croatia. Founded in 1949, the protected area features 16 tiered crystal-clear lakes, interconnected by gushing waterfalls and cascades, surrounded by lush vegetation and home to a variety of rare birds, insects and animals.
Explore the National Park using the wooded walkways and bridges that wind around the edge of lakes, offering spectacular views in this UNESCO Heritage Site. Well marked trails range from gentle child-friendly routes to day-long treks for serious walkers.
Check out and you'll make your way to Zagreb Airport by private transfer or by your hire car. We hope you've had a wonderful time in Croatia.
